Seattle Music Teacher’s Association

Who are we?

The Seattle Music Teacher’s Association (SMTA) is a chapter of the Washington State Music Teacher’s Association (WSMTA) and an affiliate of the Music Teacher’s National Association. The SMTA promotes continuing education among music teachers, improvement of teaching, and the advancement of musical culture in the community through teacher certification, student competitions and recitals, pedagogy workshops and master classes. Membership is open to all persons residing in Seattle and its environs who teach music in any branch or form.
